My boat has compartment and the berths and cockpit which are filled with what appears to be PUR foam. By what ever reason this foam is all soaking wet. If I take all of the foam out in order to dry the boat, can I leave the boat without this foam or do I have to refoam it as it was before?

I want to apply for a summer job at a summer camp, which includes sailing and conoeing. I already took a US Power Squadrons Boating Course. which included Sail and Power Boating. I’m not sure if that counts as a certification for sailing, and definately not for canoeing. Where on Long Island NY can I look and/or take courses for sailing and canoeing? Thanks
