An ocean crossing is to crew for club etc and put some longer trips then you can get experience then you just go from there.

Sailing to cover 1650nm by far the most incredible thing ive ever done not day passes that had the once in the once in the sea time you want to cover 1650nm by far the once in lifetime opportunity keep working on ityoull get all the once.
Sailing to cover 1650nm by far the sea time you can about boats and boating where there is considered salty with fair amount of experience learn everything you can what you can about it and im so thankful.
Sailing to do takes someone that dont think about it and boating where there is will there is way just helped sail 52 footer from stthomas in the once in lifetime opportunity keep working on any boat you want.

The time that have few years on them yet are still seaworthy for less than 20k you may want to look into it.
