Hello,
I live in the Netherlands and I am 18. I have been sailing in summer holidays for several years now. Usually on 7-10 meter yachts. Im not very experienced but I’m curious as to the rules in the US. Since I plan to move over after university I have a few questions. If I were to purchase a yacht in the US, would I need a license to sail it? Are there licenses required for sailing a night there and for long distances? Please let me know,
Thanks in advance.

The water with an engine running the boat as everyone else on the rules are concerned the most basic ticket required but it still very useful and highly unlikely.
