For them to middle earth and they are leaving middle earth now because it was time for them to middle earth now because it was time for them to return.
The elves were from different land and they came to return.

well they are leaving rivendale because war is coming the orcs. they are moving to afty and away from danger. hope this helped. i like lotr alot good story and great author. also if you like reading its a good idea to read the books =)
